League Milestones and Statistics Update: Saturday 7th September 2024

Overall Stats

  • Bacup Borough’s 5-0 win against Garstang was their 1,550th game and saw them score their 2,304th goal.
  • Barnton notched up their 350th game with the win against Cammell Laird 1907.
  • Abbey Hey’s win at Stockport on Monday 2nd was their 350th, it was also their 500th away game.
  • Lower Breck’s Thursday night win against Charnock Richard was their 100th.
  • Longridge conceded their 400th goal in the home defeat to West Didsbury and Chorlton.
  • Euxton conceded their 100th goal as they lost at Nelson.

Home Stats

  • FC St Helens’ opening goal in their 2-1 win against Litherland REMYCA was their 100th at home.
  • Padiham played their 550th home game as they beat Prestwich at home.

Away Stats

  • AFC Liverpool’s 5-2 win at Chadderton on Friday night was their 300th away game.
  • Chadderton’s win at Colne on Tuesday 3rd was their 250th success on the road.
  • Maghull conceded heir 500th away goal, losing at AFC Blackpool 4-2.
  • Ramsbottom’s Tuesday night win at Padiham was their 150th away success.

Goal Heroes

  • Jordan Lazenbury with West Didsbury and Chorlton’s first triple since 12th September last year as his side won 5-1 at Longridge.
  • Matthew Van Wyk hit three of Longridge’s six in their mid-week win at Pilkington.
  • Nicky Parker hit Market Drayton’s first NWCFL hat-trick in their win against Foley Meir.

Bits and Pieces

  • It’s been a while: Eccleshall haven’t scored a hat-trick since Liam Hallam hit three back on 14th December 2019, Burscough’s last was 9th October 2021, Maine Road have been waiting since 7th January 2022, Garstang’s last triple was 26th February 2022 and Abbey Hey’s was 8thMarch 2022. Glossop have been waiting for a NWCFL hat-trick since December 2014, but they have spent most seasons since in the NPL!

Manager Milestone

  • One I missed last week. Luke Evans took charge of his 200th Squires Gate game on Saturday 31st August, his side losing 0-1 to Prestwich Heys.

Home Records: Euxton Villa and Atherton LR have perfect home records in the North
Division, Stafford Town in the South and in the Prem, Lower Breck and Charnock Richard.

Away from home: Longridge, Barnoldswick and FC St Helens have perfect records (though
only played two each). Ashville have won all four of the away games in the South Division,
while in the North Division, both Euxton Villa and Atherton LR have won five out of five.
