The NWCFL season continues this evening with games in all three divisions.  Starting with the Premier Division, Litherland Remyca host Runcorn Town at Litherland Sports park with both teams coming into this off the back of weekend defeats.  Litherland we’re beaten 1-0 at Irlam whilst Runcorn Town were also unlucky on the road, being beaten 1-2 at Barnoldswick - who they face in the FA Cup this Saturday!  Both sides will be keen to get some points in the bag.

Two of the big winners from the weekend face each other at Wincham Park as Northwich Victoria take on Avro.  The Trickies were 4-0 winners at Prestwich Heys over the weekend whilst Avro were comfortable 3-0 winners over Padiham.

There is only one game in Division One South tonight as Cheadle Town welcome Abbey Hey to Park Road.   Town were narrowly beaten 3-2 by New Mills on Saturday but put in a spirited performance.  They will be looking to put in a similar amount of graft tonight if they are to get anything who held Stockport Town to a 2-2 draw on the same day.

There are a few games in Division One North this evening as AFC Darwen look to build on their solid start over the weekend as they host Chadderton.  Pilkington host Daisy Hill at Ruskin Drive with The Glassmen looking to continue their good start to the season following a good win at Nelson at the weekend.   Daisy Hill will be looking to open their account this season following a narrow home defeat to Chadderton.

South Liverpool host their first home game in the National League System for 30 years this evening as they host Ashton Town at Jericho Lane.  South made their NWCFL debut away at Darwen on Saturday and were unlucky to come away with a 2-0 reverse.

Ashton Town got off to a stuttering start by their usual high standards in Saturday, going down 1-2 at home to AFC Blackpool.

Garstang take on St Helens Town tonight and these clubs had differing fortunes at the weekend.  Garstang had to put a shift in to defeat a decent Campion side 3-2, goals from Noblet (x2) and Harrison doing the damage.   St Helens Town did not have the best of days on Saturday going down 5-2 at home to Atherton LR, so they will be looking to improve on a couple of fronts.

That concludes tonight’s runners and riders.  If you are at a game tonight, please stay safe and adhere to the various clubs ground safety guidance and enjoy the games.
