Division One South side Alsager Town have appointed former Stoke City, Cheltenham Town and Bristol City Defender, Brian Wilson as their new Manager this week.

Wilson replaces Stuart Tulloch who stood down from the role earlier this month due to personal reasons.  He is no stranger to non-league football, having formerly been a Player/Assistant Manager at Matlock Town of the Northern Premier League.  Speaking through the clubs website, he has said of the new role "I would like to say a big thank you to Terry Greer and the Alsager Board for the opportunity to Manage Alsager Town Football Club.  I am looking forward to the challenge ahead and I will be working hard behind the scenes to get things ready for when we get going again."

""I am looking forward to meeting the plauyers and I will be doing my homework on the current squad to work out where we need to strengthen.  I have worked under a number of successful managers in my 18-year professional playing career and feel that I have inherited a wealth of knowledge that will help me in this role. I am aiming to bring a professional approach to the squad and creat a hard-working team that will compete in the top half of the table."
