A full NWCFL First Division South fixture is in store for fans on Saturday - guaranteed value for money.

League leader Vauxhall Motors have a two points cushion on second-place FC Oswestry and will be hoping for all three points when they host Abbey Hey, who are just six points and three places below Mick McGraa's side. A surprise 4-2 loss for Vauxhall last Saturday to Ellesmere Rangers will concern McGraa, but we're sure he will have his side all fired up come 3 pm. Hey are unbeaten in their last three games, and have a seven-point advantage on fifth place but Terry Hincks knows a positive result is vital to keep up the pressure.

FC Oswestry Town host Wythenshawe Amateurs but even though the men from M22 are winless since November, they will be up for the challenge. Whilst Abbey Hulton United entertain bottom-side St Martins whose poor away form shows they concede 3.92 goals per game whilst only scoring on average 0.92 goals per game - it will be a difficult challenge.

6th placed West Didsbury & Chorlton are 12 points away from the promotion places, but with a game in hand as they travel to Alsager Town. Brad Cook's sides recent form has hit some stumbling blocks and needs to drive his team on to the form from earlier on in the season, whilst Alsager have won their last two games are full of confidence.

Having played a couple of games more than most of the league, Eccleshall may have the points on the board but they must keep on gaining them and host mid-table Cheadle Heath Nomads at Pershall Park, whilst Wythenshawe Town make the 127-mile round trip to Ellesmere Ranger hoping to make the move up the table. Town do have plenty of games in hand, up to six on the teams above them, therefore have a great opportunity to narrow the gap towards the promotion places.

Over at New Mills, they are hosting Barnton and with just one place between them, it is a six-pointer. Meanwhile, resurgent Stockport Town are now into the top half following a few decent results and are hosting real promotion contenders Cammell Laird 1907 in what is set to be a real ding-dong battle.

Finally, third place Stone Old Alleynians play Maine Road at Wellbeing Park - with the visitors having won four from their last five games and Stone winning three from their last four - this could turn into a real entertaining frenzy.

Let battle commence!
