NWCFL Top League Attendances of All-Time (Updated to include League Cup and Play-Off games)

Since records began in 2003-04, there have been 167 NWCFL games where 500 or more fans have watched - quite remarkable for step 5 and 6 football.

It is not surprising though to discover that FC United of Manchester holds the record for the biggest attendance with 6,023 when they faced Great Harwood Town in the 2005-06 season - in the First Division.

In just the next season, they were the away team in the NWCFL Premier Division's highest ever crowd (to date) when 4,058 saw the game, which was held at Salford RL's ground. The highest gate for NWCFL top flight game to be held at a NWCFL ground was FC United of Manchester's game in 2007 against Formby.

The first league tie in the list to not involved FC Utd is last season's clash between Bootle and City of Liverpool in April as both sides were fighting it out for the title - just a week before the end of the season. That glorious day saw 1,374 spectators witness a slender win for Joe Doran's side.

FC Utd obviously has the highest First Division and Premier Division average attendances with 3,059 and 2,581 respectively. More recently, Runcorn Linnets had five consecutive seasons were their average in the Premier Division was over 300 (323, 363, 324, 330, 387) before their promotion to the Northern Premier League.

Other notable averages in the First Division are AFC Liverpool's attendance in 2008-09 was 316, whilst City of Liverpool average 499 (7 of which where over 500).

In the League Cup, FC United of Macnhester also hold the record attendance when they faced Curzon Ashton in 2007 at Curzon Ashton. Whilst in 2006, 3007 fans saw FC United of Manchester play Nelson in the Divisionial trophy - a record to this day.
