A week of cup and league fixtures and a few milestones to mention.

Firstly, as reported last week the 1874 Northwich v Congleton Town on Tuesday night saw two milestones. 1874 played their 250th game and Congleton their 950th

Saturday saw Ellesmere Rangers play their 50th game in the 2-2 draw at Cammell Laird 1907.

AFC Liverpool’s 8 goals at home to AFC Darwen was the highest home score in the First Division North so far this season, beating the 7 they scored against Daisy Hill back in August. Pilkington also hit 8 at Garstang a couple of weeks ago. The highest aggregate for the division was also recorded on Saturday when Daisy Hill won 6-3 at Nelson. Rhys Hardacre hit a hat-trick in the AFC Liverpool game. The amazing gate of 556 at Golcar on Tuesday helped the division attendance break the 11,000 barrier

Not so many games in the Southern section, however, Tawanda Melusi’s 2nd goal for Ellesmere Rangers in the 2-2 draw at Cammell Laird 1907 was the 400th in the division so far and the total attendance broke the 11,000 barrier, just like the North division.

In the Prem there were more cup games than league, but one thing to record, Sam Madeley hit consecutive hat-tricks in the games v Padiham last Monday and v Avro on Saturday. The last Prem player to do that was also from Winsford – Nathan Cottrell in the 16/17 season – he also played in both this week’s games.  The 15,000 total attendance barrier was broken on Saturday.

Only 10 league fixtures in this coming week, Macron Cup action next weekend, so limited stats to peruse. One will do ones best.
