Isuzu FA Vase - Draw for the First Round Proper

The draw has been made for the First Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Vase.
Clubs who were eliminated at the last 64 of last season's competition have been exempt until now, but they now enter the competition at this stage with games scheduled for Saturday 21 October 2023.
From our league this includes Abbey Hey, Brocton, Cheadle Town, Darwen, Longridge Town and Squires Gate, whilst AFC Liverpool, Bury, Holker Old Boys and West Didsbury & Chorlton will enter at the Second Round stage.
The prize fund at this stage is £825 for winning clubs while the losing teams receive £250 from the competition prize fund.
Ties involving our sides
The NWCL have 18 teams involved at this stage, and the regionalised nature of the competition means that many will sadly face each other.
There are five all NWCFL ties, of which two see Premier Division sides face each other. Charnock Richard host Burscough with Pilkington hosting Ramsbottom United. First Division South side South Liverpool will travel to Premier Division Squires Gate, whilst we are guaranteed another two Step 6 sides in the Second Round.
Its an all First Division South affair as Droylsden travel to Stockport Georgians, whilst its North v South as Abbey Hey welcome Runcorn Town.
In other ties, four of our sides travel to Northern League sides. Irlam head to Northallerton Town with Cheadle Town heading to Ryton & Crawcrook Albion. Longridge Town will head up the M6 to face former NWCFL side Carlisle City, whilst Darwen travel to Heaton Stannington. There is one more tie against Northern League opponenets as Ashton Town welcome Whickham.
Just two ties are against Northern Counties East League sides, with both at home. Ashville will host Glasshoughton Welfare with Atherton LR welcoming Parkgate.
The final tie sees Brocton host Aylestone Park who will be playing against a NWCFL side for the first time. Aylestone Park are based in Leicester at the Gary Lineker Pavilion, and are currently members of the United Counties League Premier Division South.
