Managerial Vacancy At Eccleshall
Wed 19th November 2014 | Eccleshall | By Ian Templeman
Eccleshall are looking for a new manager following Shaun Hollinshead’s decision to call time on his spell at Pershall Park after Saturday’s home defeat to Widnes.
Shaun and his managerial team of Dave Johnson and Phil Bath met with club chairman Andy Mapperson after the game, and the outcome was that their term at the club was concluded by mutual consent.
Club Chairman Andy Mapperson said: “I would like to thank Shaun, Dave and Phil for their efforts over the last twelve months. We got off to a good start this season and things were looking promising.
"However, it would be fair to say that they are as disappointed as we are by recent results, for a variety of reasons, and they felt that a change of direction was possibly needed – hence their decision after the Widnes match.
"As an interim measure, second team manager, Liam James, will take charge of the team in a caretaker capacity, starting with this Saturday’s match at Northwich Flixton Villa. This will give us time to take stock and consider a number of options as we search for a replacement”.
Interested applicants should apply in confidence to the Chairman in the first instance at andy.mapperson@talk21.com
