Managerial Change At Maine Road

Maine Road have announced that manager Lee Bennett has resigned.

Lee took over the managerial reins in the summer following the departure of joint management team Chris Thomas and John Morrey.  He leaves with Road sitting tenth in the Premier Division, having played 22 games.

A club statement said: "Maine Road would like to thank Lee for his input this season, and wish him all the best in the future".
 
In the meantime club Secretary Derek Barber will be in charge of first team affairs for the rest of the season, assisted by another Road stalwart Jeff Newman.
