All Set And Ready To Go

Pre-season fixtures are all but completed, clubs have signed up the bulk of their playing squads, and everyone is geared up and ready for another season in the NWCFL.
As ever, the place to find all the latest fixtures, results and news will be the League website, and over the summer we have been putting plans in place to improve the service and information offered on the site.
Along with technical work behind the scenes, we have been working on producing new statistical information, with a view to presenting regular stats updates from across the league after games.
Once the season is under way, regular updates will be published on a Monday morning, to include the details from the weekend’s games, and also on a Thursday once the midweek games have been completed.
We have also recruited some new writers to contribute regular articles to the site, and some of our ‘new boys’ will be introducing themselves over the next day or two.
In addition, we have also had an undertaking from several others that they will also make occasional contributions during the course of the season, to add some variety to the usual mix of results and news.
However, plenty of the regular features will remain, including the regular blogs from Atherton Collieries Secretary Emil Anderson, which proved to be very popular last season. Emil will be once again giving his take on events at Colls and around the league in his own inimitable style.
But the task of keeping the website updated and introducing new ideas is always ongoing, and we would never claim to have all the answers. So, if there is anything that you can’t find on the website that you believe would be worthy of inclusion then please let us know.
In the meantime, let’s all look forward to the new season, and hope there are plenty of success stories and good news to publish on the website over the course of the next nine months.
