League Milestones
Most were in the Premier League in the last week.
Ashton Athletic played their 700th league game when they drew 2-2 at AFC Liverpool and their 350th home game in their defeat to Prestwich Heys. Prestwich themselves played their 150th away game in the midweek defeat at Wythenshawe Town. Avro scored their 200th goal as they beat Congleton midweek. Skelmersdale’s 2-2 draw at home to Wythenshawe Town was their 100th. Litherland REMYCA’s defeat at Macclesfield FC was their 50th away loss and Vauxhall Motors scored their 400th away goal as they Beat Barnoldswick on Saturday
Steeton scored their 150th goal as they beat Cleator Moor Celtic and West Didsbury and Chorlton’s win at Abbey Hey was their 150th
Goal Heroes (League and Cup)
A glut of Hat-tricks in the Prem in the last week. Top of the list though are Matty Bryan (Wythenshawe Town) who scored four of his sides six in their win at Litherland REMYCA and then at the weekend, Jack Coop (Prestwich Heys) netted all four of his side’s goals at Ashton Athletic and Jamie Menagh did the same for Lower Breck as they beat Winsford Utd.
Elliot Morris and Michael Howard both hit three in Skelmersdale’s 9-1 Vase win v Retford and finally in the Prem, Matthew Birchall got all three of Northwich Vics goals as they beat AFC Liverpool.
Ashley Flynn (Golcar Utd) hit three as his side beat Pilkington 6-2.
