Storm Dennis was in full effect on Saturday afternoon, meaning just a handful of games went ahead in the NWCFL.

The weekend action started on Friday evening as AFC Blackpool collected all three points away at Golcar United in the First Division North.

Just the one Premier Division tie went ahead on Saturday as Andy Scarisbrick and Kane Drummond helped secure a 2-0 win against Skelmersdale United in front of 122 fans.

Pilkington secured all three points with a 2-0 win over plucky Steeton who were in the game until an injury-time second for Stephen Palfrey's side. Whilst AFC Darwen ran out 3-0 winners over Holker Old Boys.

110 spectators witnessed a 2-1 win for Abbey Hey over Stone Old Alleynians to go into the fourth promotion place in the First Division South.

Elsewhere, St Martins won 2-0 against Cammell Laird 1907 - their first win for seven weeks.

In the Macron Cup Quarter-Finals, AFC Liverpool secured a place in the Semi-Final with a thumping 5-1 win over Litherland REMYCA.

The action returns to the NWCFL on Tuesday with eleven games across six different competitions.
