Prestwich Heys new manager Matt Barnes has been in charge at the First Division North for just over a week and has announced his new Club Captain as Jacob Holt, whose choice will be popular amongst supporters who voted him their Player of the Year last season.
Additionally, Brad Sixsmith has been named Vice-Captain, a great reward for the non-stop energy and commitment he shows week in, week out.
Matt has also announced three new signings.
He said “I am delighted to confirm my first signings as Manager. Dom Williams is an athletic full-back who has previously played for Maine Road and for the last two and half years at Congleton Town.”
“Nathan Emery, a defender, who joins us from Tottington but whose previous clubs include Bacup Borough and Barnoldswick Town and who has also played semi-pro in Australia”
“Reece Lyndon, who has been signed from Chadderton can be used across the team, and is a powerful player and goal scorer”
“I look forward to working with all three players and I am sure the supporters will give them the usual warm Heys welcome”
Their next game is on Saturday when they face a trip to Steeton (3:00 pm kick-off).
