Mon 2nd December 2019 | FA Challenge Vase
By Craig Kendall

The draw for the Buildbase FA Vase 4th Round has just been made at The FA headquarters in London live on TalkSPORT2, where four NWCFL have being drawn out.

Congleton Town and Longridge Town will face each other again following their 2-2 draw on Saturday, after-extra time, whilst Wythenshawe Town will face an away replay against Consett after their 1-1 draw.

Vauxhall Motors are the only guaranteed side to be in the next round, but with an all-NWCFL tie to be replayed, a minimum of two NWCFL clubs will play on the weekend of Saturday 11th January.

The full draw for the fourth round is as follows:

Vauxhall Motors vs Hebburn Town

Congleton Town or Longridge Town vs AFC Mansfield or Newark Flowserve

Wythenshawe Town or Consett vs Lutterworth Town

All three of our sides have home ties in the Buildbase 4th Round. Vauxhall Motors will face Hebburn Town who defeated Lower Breck 5-1 on Saturday. The Northern League side boast a rich history in the FA Vase and reached the 5th Round last season. They currently sit top of the Northern League Division One, with 39 points from their opening 18 games.

Whilst Congleton Town and Longridge Town will battle it out on Saturday in their replay and will face either NCEL's AFC Mansfield or Midland League Premier Division side Newark Flowserve. Matt Chatfield's AFC Mansfield have always done well in the competition since they were formed in 2012, reaching the 5th Round in 2014-15, and the 4th Round in 2016-17. Meanwhile, this is only Newark's second season in the competition, and this is their best run so far, and have scored 13 goals in their four games so far.

In the last of the NWCFL ties if Wythenshawe Town get passed Consett on Wednesday evening in their replay, then they will host Leicestershire side Lutterworth Town. The United Counties Premier Division outfit will make the 114-mile journey North if James Kinsey's side progress and they are on their best-ever run in the Vase and will be hoping their recent form continues.
