League Goal Scoring Heroes

This week saw a number of players netting league hat-tricks, On Tuesday night Joel Gnasbouyou got three for Bacup in their 4-2 win at home to Holker Old Boys then on Friday night his team mate, Matthew Bryan went one better, getting 4 of the 5 Bacup scored against Chadderton.

On Saturday, Saul Henderson hit three in the second half for Northwich Vics as they came from behind to beat Skelmersdale United.

A mention also to Travis Boyles of Wythenshawe Amateurs who hit all 4 as his side beat Daisy Hill in the Lancashire Challenge Trophy on Thursday.

Most amazing goal undoubtedly goes to Whitchurch Alport goal keeper David Parton who came up for a 95th minute corner and planted his header into the net to salvage a point in a 3-3 draw at Ashton Athletic.

Sam Madely of Winsford Utd is the only Premier league player to have hit more than one league hat-trick, having done the feat 3 times, though others have done so in cup games.

Connor Comber of Atherton LR and Dylan Glass at Ashton Town both have two hat-tricks in Division One North. In Division One South, Aaron Dwyer of Wythenshawe Town has three triples, while Kierran Lazenby at Abbey Hulton and Patrick Davin at Cheadle Town both have two.

This season’s total attendance for Division One North broke the 15,000 figure this week.
