It has been an eventful few days for new Stockport Town manager Adam Jones.
In his first managerial role, he guided his side to an impressive 3-2 away win on Saturday when they beat Cammell Laird 1907 - and shortly after the game, the club confirmed that Phil Carratt had returned to the club as Assitant Manager.
Carratt, a former professional at Stockport County until injury cut short his full-time career was appointed Assistant in 2017 and has returned two years later in the same role.
We’d like to welcome back @CarrattPhil to the club as Assistant Manager. We’d also like to welcome @PaulHodson_ to the back room team ⚽️👍🦁

Jones said on the appointment, "In football, in my opinion, you have to be able to trust the people beside you 100% and if you can't do that you won't succeed. In Phil, that trust is 100% and more, there's nobody I would want by my side more than him.
"He is knowledgeable but also an unbelievable character and I'm chuffed to have him by my side as we begin this journey."
