Not a good week for the stats fans out there; however, Alex Hughes’ 91st minute penalty winner for Whitchurch Alport at home to Squires Gate on Monday night was the clubs 300th league goal, in their 168th game.

Dan Cope’s 45th minute penalty for Congleton at home to Squires Gate was the 200th Premier Division First half goal of this season, and Jake O’Brien’s 46th minute penalty for Daisy Hill at Emley AFC was the Division One North’s 300th second half goal.

Goal Scoring Heroes

An amazing debut for Sam Agar of Emley AFC. Sam hit all 4 goals on his debut as they beat Daisy Hill 4-2 on Saturday.

Nathan Martland grabbed all three for Burscough as they beat Barnoldswick 3-2 in the league, whilst in the Macron Cup, Freddie Potter hit his first hat-trick for Rylands as they beat Padiham 4-3.

There have now been 25 hat-tricks scored in all competitions by Premier league players (13 league and 12 cup), in the First Division South, 20 in total ( 16 league, 4 cup) and First Division North, 20 (14 league, 6 cup).

The Penalty King Crown currently belongs to Jordan Benton of Eccleshall who has scored from the spot 6 times (5 league and 1 cup), taking him two clear of the rest of the field.

This coming week sees the weather set fair and a good collection of league games to be played, so lots more stats opportunities.
