Premier Division make Top 100 best Football Shirts of 2019

The folk over at footy.com have compiled a list of the top 100 football shirts throughout the world for 2019 - and in the top 100 you will find none other than NWCFL Premier Division side 1874 Northwich - alongside Premier League, EFL, National teams and many more.
1874 are not the only Non-League side in the list, Eastern Counties League Division One South side Hackney Wick have also made the "cut". Both sides have beaten Spanish superstars Real Madrid, Italien top flight outfit Lazio, Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur to name a few as Hackney finished 31st and 33rd with their away kit and home kit respectively whilst 1874 finished a 62nd in the list.
"Last year, myself and a bunch of writers here at FOOTY.COM decided to take on the task of picking out 100 of the best football kits of the year, ranking them from 100-1 over the course of several blogs.
Though it was time-consuming, we had a lot of fun, so it seemed only natural to do it all again in 2019.
I know, there are more than enough ‘Top 10’, ‘Top 20’, ‘Top 67’ etc. lists to go around, I feel it too. But Top 100 Shirts is trying to be different. The people behind this list actually care about football shirts. We’re the people who will obsess over the alignment of the monochrome sponsor on a third kit in the Austrian Bundesliga. We notice (sometimes) if a team manages to reference the colour of a shirt they wore in 2004, for better or for worse."
A lot of shirt rankings are simply created to generate a few easy clicks, but we want to be different. We want to create a list that serves as a reminder of why you love shirts. Come and go as you please but whatever your opinion, let's keep talking about football kits. Because they’re a lot of fun, and they deserve proper attention.
The format of Top 100 Shirts is simple. Every few days or so we’ll gradually unveil more of the 100, so be sure to check back on here and on FOOTY.COM’s social channels to stay up to date.
So here we go. The 100 best shirts of the year, all in one place. We hope you enjoy the ride."
Their write up says, "Take a bow, Northwich. Many clubs have attempted to ride the recent wave of kit enthusiasm, but few have managed to both capture the imagination of the community and deliver a design which stands tall as one of the best designs this year.
The involvement of local illustrator Phil Galloway (a personal favourite of mine) was a stroke of genius, and the results speak for themselves.

Oh, yes. I got all excited about this when I first saw it on Twitter, and that excitement hasn’t dimmed as the weeks have rolled by. The shirt was designed by local artist Phil Galloway, so it’s completely bespoke to Northwich and bursting with the kind of individuality so many modern kits lack. Just look at that graphic!
In short, this shirt is unlike anything else you’re likely to find this season, and it’s fantastic to see a North West Counties team edging out the likes of Real Madrid. Sensational stuff.
- Ben"
Congratulations to 1874 Northwich and their team at Townfield Lane.
