Barnton 0-4 Abbey Hey

Abbey Hey manager Terry Hincks, "Great performance from the boys again. We dominated from start to finish against strong opposition who I think will turn the corner soon as they play the right way so credit to their management team."

Stone Old Alleynians 2-1 Prestwich Heys

Stone Old Alleynians manager Jamie Cullerton, "We got there in the end, I thought we got control of the game in the first half but poor decision making let Prestwich back into the game. Second half I thought we let ourselves down with the final pass to often and Prestwich posed a threat on the break.

"It was nice to score the winner from a corner as I think it's an area we should be doing better in."

West Didsbury & Chorlton 4-0 Nelson

West Didsbury & Chorlton manager Brad Cooke, "Really dominant performance which is pleasing. It's a competition with a trophy at the end of it so it's great to get through to the next round."

Nelson manager Andy Harrison, "We knew we were going to be in a game today. They put us to the sword early doors and took an early lead and straight away it was backs to the wall. A few injuries in the warm-up meant we were a bit all over the place first 10 with people adapting their mindset from sub to player so that didn't help things. Credit goes to them today though, I was impressed with them, by a country mile the best team we've faced all season and whilst I wasn't pleased with how we lost I can't argue that the better team won.

"We have a few things we need to put right in training as there were things I thought we should have done better, but we won't be dwelling on this one. All the best to Brad and West in the next round."

Chadderton 0-1 Pilkington

Pilkington newest addition to their management team Lee Jenkinson, "Very pleased with the way the lads have reacted since I joined and we knew today would be a tough game because Chadderton is a very well organised side, both sides had good chances and I just think we wanted it more in the second half but overall really pleased and looking to carry the good form into Tuesday night away at Prestwich."

Lower Breck 6-0 Eccleshall

Eccleshall manager Kyle Adams, "We were well in the game at half time and having had the two best chances of the half probably should've been at least level. We never really got going in the second half and they stepped it up a gear, showing why they're doing so well.

"Once we went a couple behind the energy levels and quality levels dropped and I think that was the most disappointing thing, to then capitulate in that manner. We've now got to pick ourselves up and need a response in the week against Cheadle.

Cammell Laird 1907 0-0 Sandbach United
 (Sandbach won 7-6 on penalties)

Cammell Laird 1907 manager Phil Burton, "Never a nice way to lose a game of football but on the balance of play, we didn't deserve anything from the afternoon. Below-par performance based on standards, we have set. We had some great chances to win the game but nowhere near as clinical as we have been.

"Only positive I was able to give a few lads their debut who have been waiting for there chance. Good luck to Sandbach in the next round."

Alsager Town 2-5 Cheadle Town
Cheadle Town manager Liam Brownhill, "We came out the traps quickly and played some great football in the first half an hour which seen us go 4-0 up. The first half performance was outstanding but second half we let ourselves down a little bit - two unbeaten now and we have to kick on now."

Golcar United 4-4 Wythenshawe Town

Golcar United manager Ashley Connor, "We were nowhere near the standard we’ve set during the first half and it was always going to be an uphill battle after we went in 3-0 down at half-time. Second half was a lot better though and we showed great character to get back in the game which finished 4-4. Goals came from Mike Fish x2, Buddy Cox and Dave Conway. We should’ve finished the game off in the dying seconds but it wasn’t to be.

We were unfortunate to lose 4-3 on pens but credit to Wythenshawe Town and good luck to them in the next round."
