Just a single First Division North tie is set for Saturday aside from all the Premier Division sides being in action.

That's because the second round of the PlayerMatch.com Cup will take place this weekend, which you can read about here.

The single tie in the North is 18th-place Cleator Moor Celtic hosting Bacup Borough who are 14th in the table.

On to the Premier Division and it's all systems go at the top.

Rylands still lead the way and Longridge Town have entered the top three, but Whitchurch Alport and 1874 Northwich are behind them with three games in hand on the top.

That's partly due to the postponement on Monday evening which saw the latter two teams game rescheduled.

Alport won consecutive club of the month awards when they were named the Premier Division's best side for September, and they begin October with a trip away to Barnoldswick Town who are just two points behind them despite being four places below.

1874 Northwich face a trip to in-form Avro, who've won four of their last six and moved well away from the bottom spot they occupied early on, and 1874 share that form over their last six, too.

Rylands host Bootle who've played one game in almost a month since their 3-1 win away at Padiham. The home side know a win is needed to rebound after back-to-back defeats including a 4-1 defeat to Longridge on Wednesday evening.

Longridge are away at Litherland REMYCA - bottom of the division despite picking up a point away at Runcorn Town in midweek.

Ashton Athletic are the league's form side as it stands, and they'll be looking for their sixth win in seven when they play Padiham.

The Storks are 17th and know that, in order to gain any points from the game, they must restrict Athletic's top scorer Dale Korie Butler (14) as much as possible.

Elsewhere, Irlam look to stay in the hunt for promotion when they travel to second-bottom Squires Gate and Hanley Town look to claim another scalp of one of the teams in the upper echelons of the division when they face eighth-place Northwich Victoria.

In-form Charnock Richard are away at winless-in-ten Burscough, Skelmersdale United host Winsford United and Congleton Town welcome Runcorn Town.
