Congleton Town, Charnock Richard and Skelmersdale United all recorded Tuesday night wins in the NWCFL top flight with victories over Padiham (4-0), Irlam (4-2) and Barnoldswick Town (3-0) respectively.
Whilst in the First Division North a Tom Dawson hat-trick turned the game on its head for Holker Old Boys as they won 4-1 away Steeton. Meanwhile, AFC Blackpool moved up to eighth in the standings with a 4-1 win against Prestwich Heys.
Half of the NWCFL First Division South were in action, with FC Oswestry Town temporarily going top of the league (for 24 hours) as they beat New Mills 3-2 with a very late Liam Parry penalty. Whilst West Didsbury & Chorlton ran out 5-0 winners with 241 fans watching on against Abbey Hulton United, whilst Cheadle Town squeezed passed Wythenshawe Amateurs 1-0 and Abbey Hey collected all three points at homes against Barnton - winning 4-2.
Tuesday was wrapped up as Alsager Town and Ellesmere Rangers thrashed out a 2-2 draw - Jack Briscoe and Kieran Barry netting two second-half goals for Rangers.
Just twenty-four hours later, the Emirates FA Cup returned as Northwich Victoria narrowly lost to Northern Premier League side Lancaster City - a late goal sealed the 2-1 win for the side who ply their trade two steps up.
In the NWCFL Premier Division, Avro ran out 5-2 winners over Burscough, whilst there where away wins in the NWCFL First Division North for Lower Breck (4-0 versus AFC Darwen) and Shelley (1-0 versus Bacup Borough), and Vauxhall Motors moved back to the top of the NWCFL First Division South with a 3-1 win away at Stone Old Alleynians.
The action returns on Friday evening when two Buildbase FA Vase ties take place with Emley AFC entertaining NCEL Division One side Winterton Rangers and Skelmersdale United face Wythenshawe Town.
