Irlam 4 Ashton Athletic 0

Irlam manager Michael Dodd: "We are delighted to be through to the next round. To beat anyone 4-0 is a massive achievement, but especially Ashton Athletic with the high regard in which we hold them. We started the game brilliantly and in my opinion, deservedly got ourselves 1-0 up; but we then had to ride out a strong spell from Ashton towards the end of the first half.

"They have real threats at the top end of the pitch and I have to say we defended brilliantly for the most part. We broke with real quality and created lots of openings throughout; many of them we should have done more with! Karl Cassell, Callum Nicholas and Jordan Buckley were brilliant throughout and it was great to see George Farrelly grab a goal after stepping up from our U21s in the off-season.

"The result is massive for everyone at Irlam FC, not only the players and coaches, with the profile and prize money that an FA Cup run brings to clubs at our level. Thanks to everyone who supported and wished us well today; we now travel to Stocksbridge Park Steels with the hope that we can keep the run going!"

Avro 3 Litherland REMYCA 4

REMYCA manager Phil Stafford: "I thought it was a typical cup game today. Very open. We started really well and took a deserved 2-0 lead but fair play to Avro, they worked our shape out and fought back to a 3-2 lead We changed our shape and dug in and managed to 4-3 up at the break.

"I thought second half we were a good value for the win. I think it was exactly what we expected, a scouse, Manchester cup game. They’ve had 7 bookings but we’ve kept our discipline and held out for a good win in the fa cup away from home. Thanks to Avro, they were brilliant in hosting us today and good luck to them for the rest of the season."

Longridge Town 6 Barnoldswick Town 1

Longridge Town manager Lee Ashcroft: "I am really, really pleased with our performance today, getting through to the next round of the FA Cup is always something special, especially after going down a goal early doors and after that our passing.

"Movement and our desire to score goals was something special, this is a group of players which I’m excited to work with and can’t wait for the next round against our friends from Charnock Richard."

Northwich Victoria 2 Silsden 2

Northwich Victora manager Steve Wilkes: "I am really disappointed that we haven't seen the game out. I thought the second half we should have killed the game off when we were on top.

"That's twice in a week we've now conceded after the 90th minute. It looked a penalty from where I was stood, but we've looked at it on the video and although my player clearly handles the ball, a Silsden player handles it first. But we'll dust ourselves down and head across to Silsden on Tuesday night, hoping we can play much better than today."

Athersley Recreation 0 Padiham 4

Padiham manager Adam Morning: "We turned up and did a professional job and worked hard. Lads have done what we asked after the 1st game defeat against a better team. Good day at the office and we prepare for the next game!"

Skelmersdale United 1 Penistone Church 1

Skem manager Paul McNally: "First half both teams seemed to play within themselves so very few chances were created. At half time we had a few words within the dressing room I asked the lads to go out and be more attacking to try and win the game, the response was exactly what I wanted from them.

"The game flowed end to end and we had more than enough chances to win the tie but credit to Penistone they defended in numbers and counter-attacked very well, overall a draw was probably a right result and we now have to travel up to Penistone for the replay and do this all over again.

"We will be going there feeling confident in our own ability and we will prepare correctly for the game to get us into the next round of the cup."

Charnock Rochard 2 Lower Breck 1

Lower Breck manager Gary Moore: "We was delighted with the lads in respect of how we started the game and for 20 minutes we were the team looking likely to go in front hitting the bar early on and having our hosts on the back foot. Disappointing for us was the sloppy goals we gave away with a 5-yard ball lost in the middle of the park and the deflected finish that followed coming with the very last kick of the half and the second being poor for our high standards defensively. But the positive is we fought back and gave a good account of ourselves against a top-quality ball-playing Charnock side.

"We watched them twice and seen how they set up and for large parts of the game we more than matched them and on another day we take them back to Anfield Sports for a replay. The lads were gutted as they know we were a better side than what we showed for the full 90 minutes but that's football and we go again.

"Overall am immensely proud to be able to say this club has now played in the FA Cup and we will be looking to come back for another go next season."
