Lots of league games this week to peruse and the stats have flowed.

In the ‘Games played’ landmarks, Cheadle Heath Nomads game at West Didsbury and Chorlton was their 50th, likewise Cleator Moor Celtic’s win at AFC Darwen, Steeton’s defeat at Chadderton and Wythenshawe Amateurs loss at home to FC Oswestry Town.

Goal scoring markers went to AFC Blackpool, whose second in their 3-2 home win against Bacup Borough was their 2100th and Cleator Moor’s second at AFC Darwen was their 100th

Goal Heroes this week saw a number of players notching up hat-tricks. In the Vase, Paul Turner of Longridge got his fourth of the campaign and Jamie Reed of Northwich Victoria got his first.

In the Premier League, there was a double dose of hat-tricks in 1874’s 9-0 win at Litherland REMYCA. Jake Parker and Scott McGowan both managed the feat, the latter’s second of the season.

In Division One North, James Salkeld hit three for AFC Liverpool as they demolished Holker Old Boys 8-2 at home and Nelson’s Yves Zama scored all three for Nelson as they beat Golcar 3-2.

Division One South saw Patrick Davin get all three for Cheadle Town when they beat Ellesmere Rangers 3-0, his second of the campaign.

Ryan Cox’s move from Bootle to Vauxhall Motors paid immediate dividends when he hit four for his new club as they knocked Barnton out of the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Sam Clayton’s 87th-minute goal for Emley AFC in their 2-3 defeat at home to Atherton LR was the 500th Division One North goal of the season.
