New Partnership With Kit-Aid

The North West Counties Football League are delighted to announce a working partnership with the charity Kit-Aid.
League Development Officer Gary Langley met with Kit-Aid founder Derrick Williams at a 'boxing up' event held at St Lukes Church at Goodison Park last Saturday morning, to discuss a number of events which will see links forged between the League and Kit-Aid.
Gary also got his hands dirty volunteering his Saturday morning to assist Kit-Aid workers, volunteers and staff from 'Everton in the Community' with boxing donated kit items which will be sent to teams, schools and villages in Africa.
Kit-Aid, founded fifteen years ago, ask for donated kit items including shirts, shorts, Socks, Boots, Gloves..... in fact, anything football related and then this is collated, boxed and sent to Africa where the kit is given to teams who otherwise wouldn't be able to play without kit. The kit makes a direct and real difference to kids who in some cases don't have much else.
Speaking about the new tie-in, Gary said: "This was something that was on our radar from early on. I was keen to get it into the Development Plan as I was aware of the great work Kit-Aid do via the great work Barry Lenton does at Marine FC.
"If we are able to get a couple of events in over the season, including a kit donation run at the end of next season, it will mean North West Counties Football League gear being used in Africa. It will happen and these groups are very appreciative, in fact there are a number of teams in Africa named after non-league clubs who have donated in the past.
"Kit-Aid make a real difference and I'm delighted that the League have backed the tie-in and that I have been able to get something in place. We look forward to working with the guys next season".
