Hanley Town - Town stepped in to help Evo-Stik League neighbours Leek Town to give them a helping hand in reaching the Staffordshire Senior Cup Final.

Town's Abbey Lane ground was the venue for Leek's 1-0 semi-final win over Port Vale, after the original venue of Harrison Park in Leek was waterlogged.

As it turned out, after agreeing to host the fixture, Abbey Lane was also waterlogged on the original date but the game finally went ahead on Thursday 2nd April.

Leek Town Chairman Andy Wain said: "The people at Hanley Town pulled out all the stops to ensure our game went ahead, and I'm grateful for their co-operation which got us out of a tricky situation in terms of fixture congestion".
